We've just returned from Hailey's concert. She had two solos and did wonderfully! She is the only one that can hit a high C and showed it tonight. The choir's Christmas concert is always in the American Fork Tabernacle, which was built in the 1880's. It has a beautiful pipe organ and the acoustics are unbelievable. She was honored for being one of only four children that have been in the choir for 4 years! (It was created five years ago.) She dreams of being in Wicked on Broadway someday. We'll buy our tickets now, Hailey!
For some reason, most of the photos I took turned out black? I am so technology challenged, maybe I'll get the camera figured out in a year or so!

Recap...

I have been very neglectful of the blog this past week. My apologizes. Last Wednesday was our Christmas Enrichment dinner, and my back took two days to recover. But it was absolutely beautiful, and worth all of the effort.
On Thursday my niece and nephew Lily and Chase came to stay for the day. They moved to St. George this summer, and it's been so fun having them closer. The kids had so much fun together! Our sister in law Angie was nice enough to watch our kids that evening so Greg and I could go out on a REAL date. Shocking, I know. We had a nice dinner and got some shopping done. Saturday night was spent wrapping 26 gifts. The kids were so happy when they came out the next morning and saw them all under the tree.
Rachel's little personality has been showing itself a lot this week. She has been so much fun to watch and listen to. Trent can almost always get her to laugh.
Hailey has her choir's Christmas concert tonight, so I will take pictures and post them later tonight.

Elise is 5!

Sunday was Leesie's birthday. She was so excited to go to church and tell her friends she is now 5. She ordered french toast on white bread for breakfast (we always eat wheat), and a chocolate cake. I can't believe it's been five years since this sweet and sassy girl entered our lives. She has such a love of life and everything in it. She is our social butterfly and says it's been a really bad day if she hasn't played with a friend. She has a great imagination and it's so fun to listen to her play. Hailey likes to say that she operates at two levels: loud and louder. Yep, that's our Elise Noelle!

The Tree

Last Saturday we got our tree. Every year we pick a fresh one and this year it's absolutely beautiful. So last Monday night we decorated it. I have to say, this was the best time we've ever had putting the ornaments on. They loved hearing about the different ornaments and I recounted many Christmas' past with my collection of gold ones from when I was a kid. They also loved hearing about my grandma and the ornaments she gave me after I got married. She was with us in spirit, I know it!
After we were finished, I had them get pj's on and tried to take some photos. They weren't in the mood, so most of them are goofy. We had a great night and it was the perfect way to kick off December.

The Poulton Hospital
That's what our home should be called right now. Trent and Hailey are the only ones not sick. The three little ones have sinus and ear infections, and Greg was in bed last week with a terrible cold. Fever, chills, the works. And me, well, I have all of the above, but I have to be the doctor to all of my patients. At times like this, I wish I could have my mom take care of me!
